What is the gma-7™? The gma-7 is the most comprehensive test battery in the gma series. The seven tests provide a detailed picture of a test-taker's intellectual functioning in key areas of working memory, word knowledge, quantitative skills, perceptual ability, cognitive speed, and self-monitoring. What are main uses of the gma-7™? For school counselors and educators, the gma-7 can be used to determine a student's intellectual strengths and weaknesses to help identify learning issues or to assist in career planning. For health professionals, the gma-7 can be used as part of a regular mental health screen, as comparisons can be made to scores achieved by people of a similar age to evaluate the effects of the ageing process. It can also be used to track recovery from brain injury, stroke, etc. The key tests are "sensitive" to the effects of illnesses, injuries and drugs.
