gma-5 test battery Print E-mail

What is the gma-5™?

The gma-5 is a five test battery that includes two tests of raw thinking power, one test of language ability and two tests of quantitative ability. A test-taker’s speed and accuracy on these tests determine their overall general mental ability score.

The gma-5 also includes a measure of self-monitoring ability to identify job applicants who are over-confident, under-confident or realistic in their mental abilities.

What are main uses of the gma-5™?

The gma-5 is ideal for assessing a short list of professional level job applicants. The overall general mental ability score allows employers and recruiters to separate similarly qualified applicants in terms of their mental capacity for complex problem-solving potential.

The gma-5 also yields scores in key areas of language ability, and mathematical and financial reasoning skills. Employers and recruiters can quickly identify the strengths and weaknesses of their short listed applicants on these dimensions and match them to positions that best suit them.

Purpose: In-office testing of professional level job applicants and existing staff.

Test Time:  Less than 45 minutes.

Languages: English only.

Administration: Computer-based with in-built time controls, practice items and instructions.

Scoring: Fully automated, includes a summary report.
