How do I set up a test? The e-bilities gma series of test batteries is programmed into the software and can be selected with the click of a button. The e-bilities system also allows you to choose any combination of mental ability tests to meet your specific assessment needs. Once you have chosen your test battery, you generate a list of test-taker User IDs and Passwords for the number of test-takers you specify. The process of generating User IDs and Passwords requires the availability of test credits, which must be pre-purchased before this can occur. How does someone take a test? Test-takers log in to ebilitiestest.com and enter their unique User ID and Password at the "Test-Taker Login". The tests require a low-level of supervision as the e-bilities system is fully automated, with in-built timing, instructions and practice examples. A "Test Supervisor Login" is provided for young test-takers to complete suitable tests under the guidance of an experienced test administrator. Who can take e-bilities tests? The tests have been used extensively to assess the cognitive abilities of adults ranging in age from 17 to 61 years from a wide cross section of educational, organizational and cultural backgrounds. Norms are provided for both English speaking and non-English speaking background test-takers. e-bilities also includes a number of tests suitable for assessing the cognitive abilities of pre-school and school age children. Who should not take the English language version of e-bilities tests? The core e-bilities tests have been designed with approximately a 6th grade English reading level. People who are less fluent in English may have difficulty with some of the tests. Basic computer skills such as pointing and clicking a mouse and simple data entry are also required. Can e-bilities be used for remote or "at home" testing? While the majority of tests within the e-bilities system have been designed for use in supervised test sessions, the gma-2™ test battery can be used for unsupervised testing. This testing option is particularly useful when dealing with large numbers of test-takers in geographically diverse locations. Test-takers are simply sent a unique User ID and Password, and are instructed to complete the tests at a convenient time, by a specified date. It is recommended that subsequent supervised testing be used to substantiate the results of unsupervised testing. What occurs after a test-taker completes a test? The test-taker's responses are sent to the e-bilities server for scoring, and the results are available within moments. Results can be viewed for the individual test-taker, the group who have completed the same test battery or as part of a comparison between different groups. Depending on what tests are used, scores can be compared to test-takers of similar age, education, and occupation. How does e-bilities store test and personal data? e-bilities is conscious of protecting all information it holds, due to its sensitive and personal nature. Access to individuals' test results is only available to the registered Test Manager and any data used for research purposes is non-person specific. We use advanced security methods that include multiple levels of password access and encryption for data storage and internet security.
